Find a Rifle Range in Charlotte
If you are a novice shooter, you will want to rifle – experts find a riffle range in Charlotte. The Flintlock Valley range, located in the Uwharrie National Forest, east of Charlotte, is scheduled to open in two weeks. In Pender County, near Wilmington, there are no public riffle shooting ranges, so the Flintlock Valley facility will be a welcome addition to the area. In addition, the state has a long history of funding the construction of public shooting ranges, but this new foothills complex will be an excellent venue for sport shooters.
The Foothills Public Shooting Complex, located just west of Charlotte, is the largest shooting range in the Carolinas. The expansion is partially funded by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission and the Outdoor Heritage Advisory Council, but is available to everyone.
